Introduction And Principle Of Hemostatic Sponge

Leave a message

Hemostatic sponges are used for rapid hemostasis, antibacterial and anti-infection. They can absorb a large amount of blood and tissue exudate and accelerate wound healing.

Working principle
Normal hemostasis of the body mainly depends on the intact structure and function of the vascular wall, the effective quality and quantity of platelets, and the normal activity of coagulation factors, among which the negatively charged platelets and coagulation factors play the main role. Hemostatic sponges use their fine, porous, positively charged hemostatic materials. When they come into contact with human blood, they can immediately adhere to and aggregate platelets, so that blood forms thrombi, blocks the wound, and releases various factors related to coagulation. Under the joint action of endogenous and exogenous coagulation pathways, blood forms stable fibrin polymers, thereby forming blood clots to achieve the purpose of wound hemostasis.
