Introduction
SurgiClean Absorbable Hemostatic Sponge This product uses purified collagen extracted from bovine Achilles tendon, which is freeze-dried into a sponge-like solid with a white or light yellow appearance. It uses a composite sterilization system of PETG blister inner packaging and aluminum foil outer packaging, and is irradiated and sterilized. It is a disposable medical device. It has excellent hydrophilic properties and can absorb liquid media 30 times its own weight.
Collagen Effects as hemostatic material
Bovine Achilles tendon collagen achieves efficient hemostasis through the triple mechanism of physical blocking, biochemical activation and biological regulation. Its advantages are natural source, adjustable performance, controllable cost and promotion of healing. It is currently the preferred option among biological hemostatic materials. Future research directions may focus on gene editing of bovine sources to reduce prion risks, or compounding stem cells to enhance regeneration ability.

Method for Usage
External Application on Body Surfaces:
When using this product on the body surface, routine disinfection of the wound or injured area should be performed first. Cut the product to an appropriate size, cover the wound with the rough side facing down, and secure it with medical gauze, cotton, or other dressings. When changing dressings or performing wound care, there is no need to remove the originally applied product; a new piece can be applied directly over the existing one.
Internal Use as Hemostatic Material:
When using this product internally as a hemostatic material, cut it into different sizes as needed. Cover the surgical wound with the rough side facing down and apply gentle pressure for 1–2 minutes to adhere it to the wound. If necessary, it can be sutured in place for additional fixation.
