Product Information
Surgiclean® Absorbable Hemostatic Dressing is made from regenerated cellulose. This raw material is oxidized and woven into gauze, it can be degraded in our body and left no residual material, so we don't need a secondary operation to take it out, and it will not cause pain of operation again to the patients. The main ingredient of the gauze is oxidized regenerated cellulose, which is white with a pale yellow fabric and has a faint, and has caramel like aroma. Surgiclean® Absorbable Gauze of Oxidized Regenerated Cellulose can be applied to the surface of the wound, with hemostatic efficacy to help control bleeding.
Surgiclean® can be applied for various surgical procedures, which including appendectomy, breast surgery, hernioplasty, gastric resection, operations to the throat and nose, liver and gallbladder operations gynecological operations, thyroid operations, treatment of superficial injuries, and so on. (except neurosurgery, ophthalmology, and urology)
We supply various sizes of gauze to meet different needs for operations, it can be cut into different sizes by scissors to meet the needs of wound treatment in different areas.

Method of Usage
For Open Surgery
1, Clean the wound and expose the bleeding areas.
2, According to the bleeding site and the amount of bleeding, take appropriate thickness of Surgiclean® and apply it to the bleeding site.
3, Apply slight pressure with gauze, drying apparatus, or the back of the hand until the hemostasis is completed.
4, Remove excess Surgiclean® not submerged in blood to facilitate absorption and minimize the possibility of foreign body reaction.
For Endoscopic Surgery
1, Surgiclean® should be cut to the appropriate size for endodcopic placement. Standard endoscopic procedures should be used to the point of placement of the hemostat. Grasp the Surgiclean® at one corner.
2, Slowly push the grasping instrument and material into the cavity.
3, With grasping instruments in a second and third auxiliary site, placement can be made and the material repositioned as needed.

FAQ
Q:Can Surgiclean® completely replace routine surgical hemostasis?
Q: Compatibility with Other Materials: are there any restrictions on the use of other surgical equipment?
(2) This product has a low pH; do not mix/use with enzyme based hemostatic agents.
(3) This product must not be used in conjunction with a blood recovery system, as product fragments may pass through the filter causing blockages in the blood recovery system or the patient's vasculature.
(4) The product must not be used in conjunction with a methyl methacrylate adhesive for prosthetic orthopedic devices, which may reduce the strength of the adhesive.
Q: What is the absorbency rate of the product? Is it fully absorbed? Does it interfere with the radiologic image?
(2) The IFU clearly states that "Remove any excess after haemostasis is achieved in order to minimize the possibility of foreign body reaction". Thus, the product has no effect on radiologic images.
